Grand Reopening of Disneyland Hotel in Paris

Grand Reopening of Disneyland Hotel in Paris

(eap) After two years of redesign, Disneyland Paris is celebrating the reopening of the iconic Disneyland Hotel today. The hotel, which was opened in 1992 together with the Disneyland Park, has been a prominent feature of the park’s entrance area ever since. The five-star hotel was redesigned by the Disneyland Paris team together with Walt Disney Imagineering and Walt Disney Animation Studios as well as over 200 French and European suppliers.

“Disneyland Hotel further extends our legacy as a leader in the European tourism industry, with an exceptional capacity to welcome families in highly immersive environments and stories like only Disney can,” said Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris. “This one-of-a-kind, five-star property at the center of Disneyland Paris is yet another glimpse into our ambitious resort-wide transformation.”

The hotel offers a total of 487 rooms and suites in six different categories. Upon entering the lobby, visitors are greeted by a cast member while the comedian duo “La Troupe Royale Disney” performs songs and royal fairy tales – sometimes accompanied by a Disney character such as “Cinderella” or “Rapunzel”. Young guests can look forward to “The Royal Kids Club”, which offers free childcare and various activities for children. In addition, young Disney fans can meet their favourite characters or slip into the role of a prince/princess themselves with hair styling, make-up and costumes and have a souvenir photo taken. Furthermore, there is also a spa, wellness and fitness area for both kids and parents.

Hotel guests can dine either in the “Royal Banquet” all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant, which is dedicated to the royal Disney characters, or in the “La Table de Lumière” restaurant, which, like the ballroom in “Beauty and the Beast”, is inspired by the famous Hall of Mirrors at Versailles. Guests of the “Castle Club” and the suites at Disneyland Hotel can start their day with breakfast in the Castle Club Lounge in the company of the Disney princesses. Here, guests can also enjoy a particularly beautiful view of Disneyland Paris’ castle.

In addition to the hotel reopening, this year will also see the start of modernization works of the “Disney Village” dining, shopping and entertainment district, which is expected to last for two years. In addition, the opening of the new “Frozen” themed area at Walt Disney Studios Park is planned for 2025. ■
