Disneyland Paris Sets Guinness World Record with Drone Show

(eap) To celebrate the French national holiday, Disneyland® Paris set the Guinness World RecordsTM record last night for the “largest aerial display of a fictional character formed by multirotors/drones”. A total of 1,571 drones lit up the night sky above Sleeping Beauty Castle, drawing a “Mickey Mouse” silhouette in the colors of the French national flag. With a combination of pyrotechnics, lights and choreography, guests were treated to a 12-minute evening show that took them through five scenes featuring some well-known symbols of France such as the Eiffel Tower, the roses on Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral windows and iconic scenes from Disney® Animation Studios films such as “Beauty and the Beast”, “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Aristocats” and “Ratatouille”.

“We are thrilled and proud to have set this Guinness World RecordsTM title,” said Ben Spalding, Entertainment Producer at Disneyland Paris.

“It’s a testament to the creativity, innovation, and hard work of our entire team. This achievement underscores our commitment to delivering unforgettable experiences to our guests,” explained Matthieu Robin, Entertainment Creative Lead at Disneyland Paris.

The drone show was developed by the Disneyland Paris entertainment teams in collaboration with the firm Dronisos, with whom the park also works for its regular drone shows. Until January 6, 2025, Disneyland visitors can experience the evening show “Disney Electrical Sky Parade”, which consists of more than 500 drones and also takes place in the sky above Sleeping Beauty Castle.
