Dubai: Global Leisure Group Acquires HPS Play Company
After the take-over of Sidijk BV in February and the acquisition of two-thirds of ELI Play in June (cf. EAP news fo 14 June 2021), Global Leisure Group (GLC) recently announced the take-over of Dubai-based HPS Play Company and its associated HPEET in Abu Dhabi, which are both specialized in indoor playgrounds and turn-key entertainment concepts. This is GLC’s third acquisition in 2021.
Thomas Mitmannsgruber, CEO of HPS Play Company, says: “To stay strong in the future, we needed to look ahead. We see a lot of opportunities in the market for the coming years, but as a standalone company we were limited. By joining the group we have more capacity, access to financial solutions and a pile of new knowledge to draw from, which enables us to capitalize on far more opportunities that lie ahead.”
Mikael Wettergren, CEO of the Global Leisure Group, comments: “HPS Play Company is a very strong and independent company that has a profound knowledge of its local market and a wide network of partners and suppliers within that area. This new partnership is a stepping stone to reach our goal to 'be global, act local' and provide our customers around the globe the best Leisure and Play solutions.” (eap)
