Efteling Invests Around 40 Million Euros
Efteling, the largest Dutch family amusement park, is planning some ambitious investments over the next few years: 40 million euros are to be invested in the construction of three different projects, which should spur on the year-round use of the park. In 2009 the first project will be launched: the restaurant “Leckerschlecker” shall be remodelled with a railway station theme and feature a wide selection of cuisine. Then in 2010, “Ravelin” is to be carried out, an event centre with special offers. Ravelin will represent a combination of a medieval arena and office space arranged between the popular attractions “Traumflug” and “Villa Volta”. Finally, a convention centre called “die Burg” is planned for 2012, a professional conference and event centre with capacities for up to 1,500 people. (eap)
