El Molcajete – Fraispertuis-City to Open New Family Attraction with Mexican Theming in 2023
Following the success of its last year’s novelty “Les Draisines” (see EAP 2/2022), which was a Sidecar XL model from the Italian company Technical Park, the Fraispertuis-City amusement park, located in the Vosges Mountains in eastern France, has announced “El Molcajete”, a new attraction for the 2023 season. El Molcajete, in English, “the mortar”, will be located in the Mexican theme area of the park and will be designed accordingly. It replaces the former “Los Sombreros” thrill carousel.
The Wild Spark model attraction is a circular ride with 14 outrigger arms, each equipped with a 3-seater-gondola at its end (theoretical capacity: approximately 900 pph). As the arms move in a circle around the centerline of the ride, they also bounce up and down. Children are allowed to ride accompanied from a height of 110 centimeters, alone from 130 centimeters. The opening of the new family attraction, in which the Fleurent operating family is investing more than one million euros, is scheduled for the beginning of the summer. (eap)
