Eleventh Annual "World's Largest Swimming Lesson"
The "World’s Largest Swimming Lesson“ (WLSL) initiative, coordinated by the World Waterpark Association (WWA), will take place on 18th June this year for the eleventh time since its launch in 2010. Aquatic facilities of all types from all over the world can register for the 30-minute lesson with the aim of increasing awareness about the crucial importance of learning to swim in their local communities. In addition to general information provided for attendees, the program includes teaching some simple swimming movements in the pool. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), drowning is the third leading cause of unintentional injury-related death worldwide, which is why many swimming pools, swim clubs and organizations are committed to teaching children how to swim and to providing appropriate classes.
