Europa-Park Boss Roland Mack Received as Chevalier la Légion d'honneur
Founder and owner of the Europa-Park in Rust near Freiburg, Roland Mack (58) has been received in the Légion d'honneur to the class of chevalier (knight).The decoration ceremony took place at the French embassy at Pariser Platz in Berlin. Ambassador Bernard de Montferrand presented the badge on behalf of French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Nomination as a knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honour is held as one of the highest honours awarded by the French Republic. Ambassador de Montferrand called Roland Mack a “great friend of France”. Roland Mack, his family, and the Europa-Park are excellent examples of the visionary dedication of German-French friendship, he said. (eap)
