Europa-Park / Germany: „Wodan Timburcoaster“ Launched Soon!
The 2012 season will start on March 31, 2012 at Europa-Park – the day on which rollercoaster fans will hardly be able to wait for the launch of the new wooden rollercoaster “Wodan Timburcoaster”. The track of the 40-meter-high rollercoaster will be 1,050 meters long and passengers will reach a speed of more than 100 km/h and a maximum vertical acceleration of 3.5g. The Mack family business manufactured its first wooden rollercoaster in 1921. Nearly 100 years later, the first state-of-the-art wooden rollercoaster will be opened in Germany’s biggest theme park. Great Coasters International, a long-standing co-operation partner of the Mack company, was chosen for the construction of the new ride. Wodan will be the second coaster in the park that was not built by Mack Rides themselves. Please read more details about this new attraction in our upcoming issue of EuroAmusement Professional. (eap)
