Expansion Plans at Disneyland Hong Kong
The Walt Disney Company and the Hong Kong government agreed some weeks ago on a major expansion of Disneyland Hong Kong. Being the world’s smallest Disneyland, the park has been criticized of not offering enough attractions. Moreover, since its opening, the park has not been able to meet attendance goals that were initially expected. Three new themed areas including 30 new attractions are expected to open in phases over a five-year period: Toy Story Land, Mystic Point and Grizzly Trail. The total park size will increase by 23 per cent. 450 million dollar will be invested in the park by the Walt Disney Company. (eap)
