Faarup Sommerland Builds New Entrance Area with Ice Cream Factory

(eap) Fårup Sommerland (also: Faarup Sommerland), located in the north of Jutland in Denmark, will be celebrating its 50th anniversary next year. On this occasion, the park is expanding its main entrance, which will not only feature a new large portal, but also new gastronomic options... In addition to a new café and an extended terrace for the “Spisekammeret” restaurant, visitors can also look forward to the park’s very own ice cream factory. This will be called “Brogårdens Ismejeri” and will be located opposite the restaurant terrace in the new park entrance area. There will also be new stores, a new trolley rental station and sanitary facilities (including handicapped accessible facilities). The construction work for the redesign and enlargement of the main entrance to the park has already begun – guests are currently entering the site via a temporary alternative.

While park guests will have to wait until next year for these new features, including the ice factory, they can enjoy the two new giant slides “Stormfloden” (a large Boomerango Tailspin) and “Flodraketten” (a two-lane competition slide, both from WhiteWater West) in Faarup’s Aquapark during the current summer season. There are also new children’s attractions and the associated pizza restaurant also has a new look. Read more about this in our upcoming EAP magazine issue no. 5/2024 (Sept./Oct.)! ■
