Finland: Escape Game on Skis
In April this year, Lapland’s Pyhä Ski Resort will offer special skiing fun for winter sport enthusiasts, launching the “Escape Pyhä” escape game based on the concept of a classic escape room adventure. Its storyline will feature the story of “The Lost Spell”, developed by Pyhä Ski Resort in corporation with Escape Room Helsinki, telling the story of local legend Huttu-Ukko – a giant wizard who is protector of the fell and its surrounding nature.
“We believe that by building stories around skiing we can introduce new people to the wintery sport. For us skiing is not only a hobby, we believe it should be an adventure. Last year, we launched a mobile game that utilizes GPS-tracking to provide content and routes that are not visual in the slope map. This year we will bring an escape adventure to a completely new environment,” said Reino Tikkanen, Director of Marketing & Digital Business Development at Pyhä Ski Resort.
The adventure, which will take place from April 7th to 22nd, will last about two to three hours, requiring only basic skiing skills. Participation will cost ten Euro per player. (eap)
