(eap) An Action League attraction from Belgian supplier Alterface has now celebrated its opening at Suzhou Paradise Forest World in China, the first of its kind in the “Middle Kingdom”. In its related indoor entertainment zone “Candy World”, which comprises three floors, visitors can experience the new interactive gameplay ride – in keeping with the candy theme, it features the “Popcorn Revenge” IP that is also part of Alterface’s own portfolio.

Between 240 and 360 people per hour can compete against each other in teams in this compact version of the Action League attraction (covering a ground space of some 200 square meters). They take their places in vehicles equipped with interactive shooters, which in turn rotate through several multimedia scenes in which points have to be collected. Spectators can even watch some of the teams compete, as the attraction is designed as partially open in order to encourage as many guests as possible to take part in a game. A regular change of opposing teams ensures repeat fun.

The opening of the first Action League attraction in the Chinese leisure market is the result of Alterface’s partnership with Jiangsu Boren Culture Technology. “Our partnership with Boren has been instrumental in bringing Action League to life in China. Through this collaborative approach, we’ve delivered a world-first attraction, and we’re excited to see its potential for replication in markets around the globe,” says Stephane Battaille, CEO of Alterface.

Mr. Gu, CEO of Boren, adds, “This collaboration has demonstrated the true power of teamwork. We are confident this project will provide endless fun for visitors at Candy World, and we look forward to its expansion to more locations.” ■
