First Network Meeting of Finnish Amusement Park Professionals a Huge Success
Over 120 professionals from Finnish amusement parks came together to network and discuss current topics.
(eap) In early May, the first network meeting of Finnish amusement park professionals took place at Särkänniemi Amusement Park in Tampere. With over 120 participants from Linnanmäki (Helsinki), PowerPark (Ala-Härmä), Särkänniemi and Tykkimäki (Kouvola), the get-together was a huge success. Specialists, experts and executives from the Finnish parks came together to celebrate the start of the season, exchange ideas, meet new and old friends and colleagues, discuss current topics and fields of action, and of course to enjoy the rides and attractions at the park in Tampere together. The event focused on topics such as maintenance, customer service, ICT, park operations, safety and security, recruiting, F&B and management. In small workshops, the participants from the companies had the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues from the respective fields with the help of best practice examples. The aim of this network meeting is to optimize the customer offer and experience in the parks in the future.
“We expected 80 participants, but having 120 true park professionals from all the major parks in Särkänniemi was a great surprise, and it was touching to see the joy and excitement in all the participants’ faces. What a great bunch of true professionals we have!” stated Miikka Seppälä, CEO of Särkänniemi. A future repetition of the event is already being considered.
