Five-Star Resort „Galaxy Macau“, China

Macao, a Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China will see the opening of a five-star resort including wave pool in early 2011. Over 2,200 rooms in three different hotels (Banyan Tree Hotel and Resort, Hotel Okura and Galaxy Hotel), five themed gaming areas, a 52,000-square meter large oasis garden facility, a 4,000-meter large sky wave pool featuring a 350-ton white sand beach and five additional individually designed swimming pools will be built on an area covering 550,000 square meters. The resort of which the general contractor is the Shanghai Construction Group is designed by Simon Kwan & Associates and requires an incredible investment of 1.4 billion Euros (14 billion HK-Dollars).
