Floriade Teams with Center Parcs

The largest World Horticultural Expo Floriade will take place from April 5 to October 7, 2012 in Venlo, near the border between the Netherlands and Germany. More than 40 countries will present their outstanding gardens and pavilions on a 66 hectare large area within five different theme worlds and with the motto “Be part of the theatre in nature, get closer to the quality of life”. The international exhibition is held once every ten years and welcomes Center Parcs as its official partner in 2012. In their 20 vacation homes in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France Center Parcs offer their guests a short break in nature amidst more than 35,000 different native and exotic plants. Due to the cooperation with Center Parcs’ long-time landscape architect and biologist, the Floriade expo is currently developing a “tropical treasure chamber”, a jungle area in a 1,700 square meter large green house with plants from Thailand, Kenya and Mexico. Together, Floriade and Center Parcs will offer guests the possibility to book their accommodation in one of the four Dutch Center Parcs facilities Het Heijderbos, Het Meerdal, Limburgse Peel and De Kempervennen in combination with the “Floriade Passepartout”. This special ticket enables guests to have unlimited access to Floriade during their entire stay at Center Parcs. (eap)
