Florida: IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando Kicks-Off Today
Today, Orlando again turns into the stage for the IAAPA Attractions Expo, the world’s largest trade show for the international amusement and attractions industry. Around 1,100 exhibitors will present their latest product developments, new technologies and services at the Orange County Convention Center on some 53,400 net square meters (575,000 net square feet) of exhibit space. The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), organizer of the trade show, expects to welcome over 32,000 participants, including 21,000 so-called “buyers” from more than 100 countries. The extensive trade show program includes the General Manager & Owner’s Breakfast featuring a presentation held by Nick Varney, CEO of Merlin Entertainments.
In Orlando, one can discover Universal’s new water theme park Volcano Bay, immersing its guests into the South Sea with exciting attractions for the young and the young-at-heart (cf. EAP, 6/17) as well as the new “Pandora – The World of Avatar” theme world in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which was opened in May this year (cf. EAP news from May 27th, 2017). (eap)
