Four AquaLoops for Australia
Wet’n’Wild Water World in Queensland, Australia will open four AquaLoops from WhiteWater West (licensed by Aquarena) in September 2010. The special thing about these installations is not only their quantity but also their arrangement. All four loops are starting from a single tower and two slides each run parallel so that one rider against another in each dueling loop is in a head-to-head speed challenge. When the floor in the start capsule opens, riders fall 17 meters (45ft) down, accelerating to speeds of 60 km/h. In each of the four 92-meter long slides, 2.5g are pressing the visitors against the flume. The so called “Dueling AquaLoops” from WhiteWater will certainly soon be in demand elsewhere, too. (eap)
