France: Disneyland Paris Announces Royal Renovations Coming to Disneyland Hotel
As the Disneyland Resort in Paris is looking forward to the reopening of its freshly renovated and rethemed “Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel“ (cf. EAP news of 28 Oct 2019), the leisure destination is already starting the next extensive hotel renovation project. The iconic, 5-star “Disneyland Hotel“, which is located directly at the entrance to Disneyland Park, will receive an ambitious transformation, making it the first Disney hotel worldwide with a royal theme, inspired by Disney’s empowered “royal“ heroes. All hotel rooms and suites will be entirely rethemed to offer a fully immersive guest experience, with princesses, princes and queens from Walt Disney Animation Studios classics such as “Cinderella“ and “Sleeping Beauty“, to newer productions like “Frozen“ and “Tangled“. In doing so, designers will continue to pay homage to the elegant Victorian architecture that guests currently experience during a stay at the Disneyland Hotel.
“When we reopen, the guest experience will go far beyond the typical five-star service. We look forward to welcoming many of our loyal guests back to this iconic hotel, then in a 360-degree experience that draws on the magic of beloved Disney fairy tales – with brave and courageous heroines in focus,“ says Tomás Feier, General Manager, Deluxe & Premium Hotels, The Walt Disney Company.
Sylvie Massara, Walt Disney Imagineering Paris – Design and Show Quality, adds: “At Disneyland Paris, we create enchanting experiences for all ages. The completely refurbished Disneyland Hotel will do just that, immersing guests in a timeless royal atmosphere. Guests will be welcomed with unique refinement as soon as they enter the lobby and will stay in rooms and suites with elegant décor celebrating Disney princesses and princes.“
Not only will guests be able to hold court in royally-rethemed rooms and suites, but they’ll also receive the royal treatment while relaxing at an expanded pool area and spa and while dining at rethemed restaurants and bars. This refurbishment is the next step in an ambitious multi-year renovation plan for all of the Disneyland Paris hotels.
