France: Walibi Rhône-Alpes to Open New Infinity Coaster Next Year
Now it is clear: As indicated by park director Luc de Roo when speaking with EAP earlier this year (cf. EAP issue 4/2018), Walibi Rhône-Alpes located near Lyon will open up a new infinity coaster in the course of the 2019 season. The park, which belongs to the Compagnie des Alpes operating group, is thus being given a very special attraction on the occasion of its 40th anniversary next year – the first rollercoaster of its kind in France.
Supplied by German Gerstlauer company, the new ride will feature a vertical drop and be 575 meters long, 31 meters high and up to 85 km/h fast. Riders must be at least 130 centimeters tall to be allowed to ride. (eap)
