GB: Warner Bros. Studio Tour London Announces Largest Expansion: Gringotts Bank to Launch in Spring
Today, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter has announced its largest expansion until to date: As of April 6th this year, visitors will be able to enter the set of Gringotts Wizarding Bank with its grand hall and dark vaults.
The new set, which will cover an area of over 1,500 square metres (16,500 square feet), will be lined by towering marble pillars, decorated with crystal chandeliers and finished with brass leaf. Inkwells, quills, ledgers and piles of coins will complete the goblin tellers’ desks as in the Harry Potter movies. In addition, guests can marvel at the costumes and masks of the goblins and step into the vault of Bellatrix Lestrange with the Sword of Gryffindor and Helga Hufflepuff’s Cup. Here, a photo opportunity will invite guests to take a picture of themselves surrounded with treasure.
In 2017, the Harry Potter visitor attraction had added the “Forbidden Forest” to its set ensemble, forming part of the Studio Tour since then (cf. EAP News from Feb 13th, 2017). (eap)
