Gelsenkirchen: Welcome to Germany’s First Water Circus!
“Curtain up! Come one, come all!” That's what was heard on the 20th of June when SPORTIS opened its water circus and wildwater creek at the Sport-Paradies in Gelsenkirchen. It’s been nearly two years since planning began for this ambitious project. The operator of the Sport-Paradies, the GEW, invested two million euros in the new children’s area. The goal was to create a new attraction for children and toddlers at the existing bathing paradise. At the same time, kids were to be playfully motivated to get moving in the water.
In an additional area of 500 square metres, the splashing pool fun is merged with the circus world. (eap)
