In the course of further expansion plans, Center Parcs Germany recently designated new responsibilities to two members of its Management and Director board: Frank Daemen, CEO of Center Parcs Germany since 2014, will also assume the position of Managing Director to take responsibility over the company’s strategic corporate planning. His colleague and previous Development Director of Center Parcs Germany, Franҫois van Rens, will conduct Center Parcs’ operations as Director of Operations, a responsibility that includes process optimization as well as managing the qualitative and financial results of all five German park facilities.

"We are particularly interested in working with the respective regions,” commented Franҫois van Rens. “Park Allgaeu is a positive example of how we integrate the people of the region in our project planning. Furthermore, our ‘Kids Climate Conference’ initiative at our Hochsauerland park and the ‘Kids Watt Academy’ initiative at our North Sea coast park are sustainable environmental projects motivating participants to make their contribution to environmental protection beyond national borders,” he said. However, according to Frank Daemen, the focus will further remain on the German market: "Renovations for the Center Parcs parks Hochsauerland and North Sea coast are already planned. In addition to the complete renovation of all holiday homes, the investment will be made into the central units, also known as ‘Market Domes’. Concurrently with the start of the construction of the new park in the Allgaeu region, further interesting sites are being sought in Germany, " Daemen added.

The Allgaeu park, which is currently under construction, celebrated its groundbreaking ceremony on October 7th this year (c.f. EAP news from October 12th, 2016), its opening is scheduled for the end of 2018. In addition, further Center Parcs facilities are planned for the German federal states of Bavaria and Baden-Wuerttemberg, for which suitable land is still being sought. (eap)
