Germany: Center Parcs Park Nordseeküste Invests in Modernization of Accommodation Offer
Located at the German North Sea coast, the Center Parcs park in Tossens dresses up for the future and invests in the modernization of its 423 holiday houses and apartments. Also, the central unit with its hotel rooms will see a renovation.
Recently, the Center Parcs destination started with the first phase of modernization including 132 holiday homes and 40 apartments, which is scheduled to be completed on April 10th – in due time for the Easter Holidays. The main purpose of the renovation is to re-design the facilities’ interior decoration, creating a fresh maritime ambience with windmills and an innovative glass design. All rooms will reflect the nature and culture of UNESCO’s mud flats world heritage. The second modernization phase including the remaining 114 holiday houses and 50 apartments as well as the central unit with 78 hotel rooms is scheduled for the second half of this year.
“Our park is one of the most popular destinations within the portfolio,” said Christoph Muth, General Manager of Center Parcs Park North Sea coast. “The whole region is profiting from the developments in the tourism sector. The northern Germany region was and still is an attractive holiday destination and we will continue improving our high standards – not only to maintain the success of recent years but to top it with a sustainable enhancement of our accommodation offer,” he added.
September 30th, 2016 saw the end of the 2015/2016 fiscal year, stating operational earnings of 6.4 million Euros – according to the park, this means an increase of four percent compared to the previous year.
