Germany: Dirk Kolkmann Appointed New Second Managing Director of KölnBäder GmbH
The general meeting of KölnBäder GmbH recently appointed Dirk Kolkmann (photo) second managing director of the company. Since 2005, Kolkmann has been managing the legal department of Stadtwerke Köln holding (municipal utilities Cologne) and he was temporaryly serving as its managing director earlier this year. He will support managing director Claudia Heckmann in her work. He started in his new additional position on 1st October, succeeding Gerhard Reinke, who retired this past summer (cf. EAP-News of 5 July 2019).
“The model of placing the KölnBäder under the direct control of a two-person management team, one of whom works directly in the Stadtwerke holding (SWK) company, has proven successful. After his managing position at SWK, Dirk Kolkmann is the ideal team partner for Claudia Heckmann. His new role will be influenced by his years of work experience in the SWK concern,“ comments Peter Kron, chairman of the board of KölnBäder GmbH.
Dirk Kolkmann adds: “I am thankful for the trust of the supervisory board and I am looking forward to be working with Claudia Heckmann and the team of KölnBäder. The company operates 13 modern pools, which represent an important sport and leisure offer in the city of Cologne. To me offers for school swimming classes and swimming associations are an affair of the heart. Services for the public is the main task SWK has to provide.“ (eap)
