Germany: ELORIA Erlebnisfabrik Unfolds Its World
After the Erlebniswelt Grusellabyrinth NRW experience was saved from permanent closure by the takeover of the business operations by Erlebniswelt Grusel GmbH in 2020 (cf. EAP News of 30 Apr 2020), the operation is now re-starting under a different name with a completely new concept. With ELORIA – Erlebnisfabrik (adventure factory), ELORIA GmbH (formerly Erlebniswelt Grusel GmbH) as operator and subsidiary of Paperdice Solutions GmbH is completely reorienting itself far away from horror. With ELORIA, a thematically open and multifaceted adventure experience – with many interactive play experiences – is moving into the building on the former coal mine site in Bottrop on an area of 6,000 square meters.
In addition to the continued range of offers, which includes various Escape Rooms and Outdoor Escape Games, three novelties have already been put into operation with the “ELORIA – Bar & Lounge”, the “ELORIA – Store” in the Bottrop city center and the Party Battle Arena “ELOLYMPIA”. ELOLYMPIA offers nine exciting games of skill, knowledge and tactics for four to eight people in a playful competition.
In the coming weeks further offers are to follow gradually – first the new Loop Escape Room “INFINITUM – Entfaltung der Unendlichkeit” (unfolding the infinity), in which groups have only ten minutes time to solve all riddles. In another section, the online game show “ALTER FALTER!” and the dark experience game “METAMORPHOSIA”, which recreates cave exploration in dark passageways deep underground, will be open to visitors.
Next spring, the new main attraction “EXPLORIA” – a real immersive adventure simulation – is scheduled to open its doors, marking the completion of the redesign for now.
