Germany: Europa-Park Celebrates Groundbreaking for its new “Rulantica” Water World
Some time ago, Europa-Park had already announced its plans to set a new milestone in the history of Germany’s largest amusement park by expanding the Europa-Park universe with the creation of its first own water world to be opened by the end of 2019. During a press conference that was held today, the park revealed first details on the planned waterpark and unveiled a model of the water adventure world, which is part of a 450,000 square meter resort expansion – construction works are already underway.
“Rulantica” will be the name of the water park, offering a total of 25 exciting attractions in a 32,600 square meter large indoor area, complemented by an 8,000 square meter large outdoor realm. At the same time, Europa-Park is building an all-new “Krønasår“ 4-star Superior hotel as the resort’s sixth theme hotel. The owner-family Mack is investing more than 150 million Euros into the enormous resort expansion, the highest investment of Europa-Park until to date.
