Germany: European Waterpark Association Elects New Executive Committee

The European Waterpark Association (EWA) – with over 250 members the largest European association of recreational bathing complexes, thermal spas and water parks – has elected a new executive committee during its annual general meeting in the course of the FSB/aquanale trade fair in Cologne. Markus Achleitner, CEO of EurothermenResorts, has been appointed new President of the association, the first Austrian member in this position.
“The EWA is the leading benchmark network of all leading companies in this field, I’m delighted and thankful for the confidence and I’m looking forward to my new challenge to develop the European wellness and leisure market further,” emphasized the new EWA President after his election.
Jutta Kleiber from Les Thermes Strassen-Bertrange (Luxemburg) and Oliver Sternagel from Karlsruher Bäder (Germany) have been elected Vice Presidents – together, the new committee aims at rolling-out further the excellent quality level of the EWA with a special focus on internationalization, digitalization and the strengthening of the network. The new committee also welcomes Achim Fischer (KölnBäder), Harald Gabriel (GMF), Wolfgang Hermle (Stadtwerke Osnabrück) and Andreas Ramsauer (Wörgler Wasserwelt).
