Germany: Explorado Museums Have Every Reason to Celebrate
Two German museums, Explorado Kindermuseum located in Duisburg and Cologne’s Odysseum Abenteuermuseum, both operated by Explorado Operations GmbH, have a good reason to celebrate: In this year’s “Germany’s Most Family-Friendly Companies” survey they rank second resp. third in the “Adventure Museums 2015” category. The category’s winner is the phaeno science center situated in Wolfsburg. “Considering the fact that in comparison to winner phaeno Wolfsburg both of our museums are privately operated without any public subsidies we are even more proud of this result,” Explorado’s CEO Andreas Waschk says. The survey, conducted by ServiceValue GmbH in cooperation with Goethe University of Frankfurt and WELT am SONNTAG newspaper, classifies Ravensburger Spieleland as 2015’s most family-oriented business of all 400 evaluated companies across 60 industry sectors (cf. EAP News from September 12, 2015).
On the occasion of the second anniversary of the Museum mit der Maus area, located within the Cologne-based Odysseum museum, children and their parents are invited to take part in a colorful program on October 3, 2015. At the same date the “Türen auf für die Maus” day will take place in Duisburg. Guests to the museum will then have the possibility to visit the whole facility in the evening. (eap)
