Germany: Fildorado Filderstadt Completes Expansion Works for Wellness Area
In June last year, Germany’s sports and bathing center Fildorado Filderstadt started construction for the expansion of its wellness and spa area (cf. EAP News from July 11, 2014). This past Saturday saw the grand opening of the new 1,000 square meter building. In total, Fildorado now offers a 6,000 square meter barrier-free sauna area.
In addition to the seven saunas and two steam baths, which are located in the already existing building complex, the new two-level building features a panorama sauna for up to 70 persons, the semicircular “Caldarium” steam bath and the relaxation room “Flamma”. Furthermore, the new facility includes, amongst others, a separate entry to the sauna area, a roof terrace, a media lounge in the entrance area as well as additional changing and parking possibilities. “When planning the new building, we focused on our guests’ needs. Now we are pleased with the result and would like to thank our guests for the patience they had during the construction phase,” Fildorado’s Managing Director Felix Schneider explains. (eap)
