Germany: First Personality Award Goes to Friedhelm Freiherr von Landsberg-Velen

On May 25th, 2016, Friedhelm Freiherr von Landsberg-Velen – CEO and owner of the German holiday resort Schloss Dankern – has been awarded with the first “Persönlichkeitspreis” (Eng. “Personality Award”) by the association Niedersächsicher Tourismus (Eng. „Lower Saxony Tourism“) in Hannover. In his laudatory speech Olaf Lies, Economy Minister of Lower Saxony, emphasized Freiherr von Landsberg-Velen’s accomplishment of having set new standards with his holiday resort within the family holiday sector, even beyond Lower Saxony’s borders. “Commitment and particular services to our lead market tourism are decisive to receive the award. I am glad that our assembly of tourism succeeded to opt for an award-winner out of the circle of 16 nominated personalities, who meets in such an ideal way the requirements and who is an important ambassador of our beautiful travel destination Lower Saxony,” commented Lies. Friedhelm Freiherr von Landsberg-Velen is proudly comments: “This award confirms our successful development of the holiday resort Schloss Dankern to a holiday destination for families, which differentiates itself clearly by its attractions as well as by its attractive pricing model.” The holiday resort Schloss Dankern has been founded in 1971 by Manfred Baron von Landsberg-Velen and has become one of Germany’s largest family and leisure centers with 1.1 million visitors in the past year. Besides the holiday homes, a leisure park, the “Topas” fun bath, an adventure golf course, a high ropes course and the Dankern Lake with its more than three kilometres of beach count to the core offer. Furthermore, Schloss Dankern recently opened its new “Laser Parkour” as one of the world’s longest laser mazes (we reported on this in EAP, issue 3/2016). (eap)
