Germany: Green Light for Construction of Center Parcs Allgäu

(v.l.n.r.): Jan Janssen (Center Parcs), Oberbürgermeister Hans-Jörg Henle (Leutkirch), Frédéric Durousseau (Groupe Pierre & Vacances Center Parcs), Rechtsanwalt Dr. Mark Butt (GSK München), Bürgermeister Heribert Kammel (Altusried), Bürgermeister Martin Bendel (Leutkirch).

While the construction of Saarland’s Center Parcs Park Bostalsee in Germany is well underway (please read our detailed report in our upcoming magazine issue EAP 1/2013), the responsible parties involved in the development of another holiday park planned to be built in Germany’s Allgäu region were happy to sign the contract for this construction project at the beginning of this week. The city of Leutkirch, the municipality of Altusried and the Center Parcs Allgäu GmbH signed a cooperation agreement for the development and operation of the new holiday park. The new facility will be built on a 180 hectare large area and encompass about 750 to 1,000 holiday homes. The opening of the park is scheduled for the beginning of 2016. (eap)
