Germany: Heide Park Invests in Relaunch of its Popular “Colossos“ Wooden Coaster
As Germany’s Heide Park Resort announced today, fans of its “Colossos” wooden coaster, out of operation since 2016, can finally look forward to a relaunch of the signature ride: The popular coaster is set to rush through the park again as its upgraded version “Colossos 2.0” in the 2019 season. For this purpose, Merlin Entertainments, operator of Heide Park Resort, has decided to invest a sum of approx. twelve million Euros into the renovation works, including the renewal of the 1.5 kilometer long Kerto wooden track. The “new” Colossos will feature several other highlights, on which the park does not reveal any details at the moment. Sure is that the coaster will again receive wooden rails, as announced by Sabrina de Carvalho, Managing Director of Heide Park Resort, in a press conference today.
