Germany: Jochen Schweizer Arena Opens Today

Today sees the opening of the first multiple adventure world from German entrepreneur Jochen Schweizer, which is located in the Bavarian town of Taufkirchen, near to Munich (please see also our report in EAP, 1/17). Jochen Schweizer Arena is the name of the new brand world, where visitors can choose between three challenging activities. Starting today, guests can try out the wind tunnel – the landmark of the arena – and the “Jochen Schweizer citywave” indoor surfing facility. This summer, an outdoor adventure park featuring a „Flying Fox“ zip line course and skytrail high ropes course will also be opened.

Furthermore, the Mall of Switzerland, which is currently under construction in the Swiss canton of Lucerne, will cover a total area of 65,000 square meters and host the first Jochen Schweizer Surf Arena and Switzerland’s first Jochen Schweizer shop. The opening is scheduled for autumn this year. Also, the Mall of Switzerland will feature around 150 retail shops and restaurants, a cinema with twelve halls and further sports and wellness offers.
