Germany: KLAFS Steam Bath Wins Wellness & Spa Innovation Award 2016

The German sauna manufacturer KLAFS, headquartered in the city of Schwäbisch Hall, has every reason to be pleased: Recently, its D6 steam bath was awarded a “Wellness & Spa Innovation Award 2016” in the “Hotel & Spa Interior” category. With the international prize, the German Wellness Association has honored new and future-oriented developments for the wellness and spa industry which have already successfully established in the market since 2012.
The five-member jury, consisting of experts from the wellness, spa and beauty industry, justifies its decision as follows: “Steam baths [...] have without doubt a positive impact on peoples’ health and well-being. With its new D6 steam bath, KLAFS adds great variety to the interior design and overcomes steam baths’ typical constructive weaknesses in an innovative way”. The D6 steam bath is available in two different heights. Developed as a modular system, the model offers various options, both in terms of size and layout as well as visual design. Special constructions ensure that no water can drip from the walls and ceilings, which are manufactured from high-quality acryl glass, onto the seating benches. (eap)
