Germany: Karlsruher Bäderbetriebe Reports Full-Year Results 2017

Earlier this week, Mayor Martin Lenz and Chief Officer Oliver Sternagel presented the 2017 annual results of Karlsruher Bäder. In total, just under 1.5 million guests were recorded at the ten indoor and outdoor swimming pool complexes belonging to the municipal pool operations. Europabad Karlsruhe alone recorded a total of 473,826 visitors in 2017, an increase of around 9,000 guests compared to the previous year.

Moreover, the flagship installation, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, could end the last year with positive figures. On the occasion of its anniversary, Europabad will present its visitors with a new funnel slide in a spider design, which is scheduled to open this autumn. The new waterslide is only one of several investment measures to be undertaken in the coming years, revealed Mayor Lenz.
