Germany: KölnBäder Swimming Pool Operator Announces New Visitor Record: More than 2.7 Million Guests in 2018
Im Sommer 2018 begrüßte die KölnBäder GmbH zahlreiche Gäste in ihren Freibädern.
Last year, Germany’s KölnBäder GmbH – operator of 13 in- & outdoor swimming pools in Cologne – has welcomed a total of more than 2.7 million guests at its locations, a new record in the company’s 20-year history. Compared to the results of the 2017 season with more than 2.4 million guests, last year a plus of around 300,000 people came to the bathing facilities, not least due to the exceptionally warm summer days, which led to a strong increase of the outdoor pools’ guest numbers (cf. EAP news from Sept 19th, 2018).
Gerhard Reinke, Managing Director of KölnBäder, is satisfied with the result: “I am delighted that we will be able to use the additional income to push ahead with necessary investments in our swimming pool landscape. My special thanks go to the guests and our employees, who have done a great job,” said Reinke.
