Germany: Magdeburg’s Elbauenpark Opens New Zipline Attraction this Weekend

Germany’s Elbauenpark in Magdeburg will launch a new attraction in due time for this year’s Easter holidays: Starting this weekend, visitors to the recreation park will be able to glide over flood plain landscape east of the Elbe river on a 430 meter long new zipline attraction, reaching speeds of more than 55 km/h.

The adventure starts at the city’s Jahrtausendturm (Engl. “Millenium Tower”) at a height of 43 meters and ends at a six meter high final station after approx. 30 seconds. Visitors eager to try out the new attraction must have a body weight of at least 35 kilos (the maximum body weight is 120 kilos). Germany’s faszinatour GmbH has erected the zipline facility in a period of two weeks. (eap)
