The German division of the International Association for Sports and Facilities (IAKS Deutschland e.V.) recently appointed Manuel Eickhoff as new Managing Director, effective since March 16th, 2020. Eickhoff, who graduated with a Master of Science in the field of Sports Management from German Sports University Cologne, is now responsible for member support service, public relations and event organization. As new Managing Director, Manuel Eickhoff is looking forward to his new challenges at the non-profit organization, which is dedicated to the planning, construction, operation and development of sports facilities: “[...] Amongst other things, I will focus on the renovation backlog at sports facilities. The modernization process of German sports facilities is also an important topic, according to the changes in the active lifestyle of the society, which I want to support with all my power. It is also an affair of the heart, to make sports areas accessible to everybody in urban and suburban regions. Another important topic will be the field of digitalization. [...] During my academic studies and my experience in the field of sports and management, I gained know-how, which I am now able to contribute as Managing Director of IAKS Germany.“ (eap)
