Germany: Martin Lubitzsch Appointed New Retail Director at LEGOLAND Germany
This season, Martin Lubitzsch was appointed new head of the retail team at LEGOLAND Deutschland Resort. The 40-year-old took over the position from retiring Hans-Jürgen Loebb. Lubitzsch looks back on 20 years of professional experience, which he gained at fashion house Peek und Cloppenburg and as manager for the international distributor Gebrüder Heinemann SE & Co KG at Frankfurt International Airport, among others.
“Both, the travel and amusement park retail businesses are typical seasonal trades and due to that very well comparable,” says Lubitzsch. He acquired his knowledge about customer satisfaction, which he will bring into his new position, as he operated a hotel on the Greek island of Crete. Lubitzsch already has plans for a new theme shop, which is set to not only satisfy kids. The new retail director looks forward to his future work: “The environment is right and there are lots of free space, chances and challenges.” (eap)
