Germany: Museum Ravensburger Pleased about Rise in Visitor Figures
Museum Ravensburger, which had been reopened in 2010 after a renovation (cp. EAP 4/2010), welcomed around 33,500 children and adults in 2012. This means a 25 percent increase in the number of visitors compared to 2011. What is really interesting about the rise in visitor figures is that around half of their guests are tourists. “Around half of our visitors come from areas that are more than one hour away,” confirms CEO Carlo Horn. Since last year, visitors have been able to discover the interactive exhibition via the tiptoi® museum rally. This rally is based on the audio digital learning system tiptoi®, a speaking pen that explains facts and corrects mistakes (see photo). In 2013 Museum Ravensburger will open a new outdoor playing area. (eap)
