Germany: New “Grandpa Alfred’s Dino Valley“ Theme Area at Taunus Wunderland Now Open
In due time for the start of this year’s season, Germany’s Taunus Wunderland family park has launched its new theme area dubbed “Grandpa Alfred’s Dino Valley”, which invites park guests to an expedition through 600 million years of geological history. Over 20 dinosaur models, an exciting archeological site with dinosaur fossils and an educational trail enthuse guests of all ages. The new theme area is completed by an adventure playground and three observation towers of 17 meters height each, which are interconnected by a slide. In addition, Taunus Wunderland has also opened a new restaurant: At “Uncle Benno’s Food Barn” guests can enjoy regional treats.
Besides current investments in renovation and expansion measures in the park, running at a six-digit cost, Taunus Wunderland plans to further invest in the upgrade of its visitor offer in the coming years. Visitors can look forward to a new theme area including rides and other attractions as well as a “regional flora and fauna discovery area”. Also, the park’s mascot family with Muckel, Betty and Grandpa Alfred is set to grow. (eap)
