Germany: New BRIO Wagon Inaugurated at Ravensburger Spieleland

Familie König freut sich auf eine außergewöhnliche Übernachtung in der neuen BRIO Eisenbahn.

Since this spring, guests to Ravensburger Spieleland can also spend the night in the park’s own holiday village in a locomotive as well as in train wagons designed in the style of BRIO wooden trains. The wagons of the BRIO Railway, which are specially designed for families, can accommodate up to four people (two adults and two children). Now, a newly designed sleeping car based on the cooperation of the leisure park with the mobility brand bwegt for regional and local transport in Baden-Württemberg has been added to complete the total of 19 wagons and the locomotive.

“The cooperation with Ravensburger Spieleland brings bwegt close to the young target group,” says Baden-Württemberg’s Minister of Transport Winfried Hermann. “With the design of the sleeping car in bwegt colors, children encounter an overnight accommodation option that looks from the outside like the regional train they might have arrived on. In this way, we can inspire the next generation to travel by train and raise awareness of sustainable mobility at an early stage.” Yasin Ates, Managing Director DACH, Ravensburger Verlag, adds, “As a theme park for families, we are delighted to welcome everybody who is mobile by train and bus. Sustainability is an important issue for us, which is why we are happy to support bwegt.”

The leisure park is already a bwegtPlus partner and rewards rail travelers with discounts. (eap)
