Germany: New BattleKart Location Now Open in Cologne
Last year, Germany’s first BattleKart facility was opened in Bispingen Lower Saxony (cf. EAP news of 3 Nov 2020), a leisure center that focuses on the interactive gaming experience. Now the Rhine metropolis Cologne can look forward to a similar racing experience with video game character. At the Motorworld Köln-Rheinland experience world, visitors young and old can now drive in electric karts and discover a total of five game modes on various tracks.
“BattleKart offers fun, games and action for all generations and is pure racing feeling for everyone. With the location at the Motorworld Köln-Rheinland, we couldn’t have found a better place for our attraction,” says Sven Klappert, Co-Managing Director of BattleKart Köln GmbH.
On a total area of around 2,300 square meters, 38 beamers, 18 electric karts (from RiMO) and 24 sensors for locating the karts ensure modern, interactive and safe gaming fun. Special functions on the steering wheel of the e-karts allow players to trigger various effects on the track. A game lasts 15 minutes and can be played with up to twelve participants simultaneously. A minimum body height of 1.45 meters is required. The safety of the drivers is to be ensured by a sophisticated software system that automatically stops all karts if necessary. (eap)
