Germany: New Sliding Fun at Autostadt Wolfsburg
Today, Wolfsburg-located Autostadt starts into its official summer season with a range of activities and attractions for its visitors. Besides a 150 metre-long zipline, an inflatable playground, an airtramp as well as the „Harbour Terrace“, which invites people to relax in beach chairs and enjoy F&B offerings, visitors will be able to experience three new stainless steel slides in the brand experience world as of July 24th.
The 18.5 metre-high slide tower, which stands in the inner port of the destination, is suitable for children as of six years and offers a free-fall slide, a spiral tube slide and a narrow wave slide (all supplied by Atlantics), offering a view over the harbour terrace. Ralf Luhnen, head of event development and control at Autostadt, explains: “With our ‘Netzwerk‘ and ‘Holzwerk‘ climbing installation at the ZeitHaus, we opened a large family area last year. We are delighted that the new giant slide will become a permanent attraction and will complete this area. It was a challenge to integrate the fragile construction into our automotive theme park. The spectacular slides over the water will offer visitors an unforgettable experience.“ (eap)
