Germany: Permanent Closure of Ravensburger Kinderwelt in Kornwestheim
On June 1st, 2013, the Ravensburger Kinderwelt indoor world opened its doors in Kornwestheim in Germany’s Ludwigsburg district. After almost a decade, they were permanently closed on December 30th, 2022. Covering an area of over 2,000 square meters, the two-storey indoor children’s world ended up housing over 16 attractions such as a children’s driving school. The play concept was developed and deployed as an in-house operation by the city of Kornwestheim in cooperation with the Ravensburger Freizeit und Promotion GmbH. Ravensburger Kinderwelt thanks all its visitors for their loyalty over the time. “The indoor adventure world was run with a lot of heart and commitment by the employees. Thus, the farewell is really hard for all of us,” said mayor Martina Koch-Haßdenteufel about the closure of the kids world, which was decided on by the municipal council. (eap)
