Germany: Phantasialand Extends Park Opening Season until 24 January 2021
Phantasialand, located in Bruehl (near Cologne, Germany) has announced to extend this year’s summer season by three weeks until 20 November 2020, which will then seamlessly go over into the park’s winter opening time (“Winter Dream”) until 24 January 2021. The popular theme park is foregoing its annual closure break between the summer and winter season in order to offer visitors more time for shared experiences and to make up some of the opening hours lost due to the Corona pandemic. The extension of the seasonal opening times is an option suitable also for other leisure destinations with previously limited winter opening times.
Currently, all of the over 40 attractions in Phantasialand’s six theme areas are open as are the two associated themed hotels “Matamba” and “Ling Bao”. Corona-protection measures such as distancing rules apply throughout the entire area of the theme park resort (please also read our special “Products & Solutions for Safe Park Operations” in EAP Issue 4/2020).
