Germany: Raeder-Vogel Concludes Conversion Measures at Production Facility Plant 2
The Hamburg-based manufacturer Raeder-Vogel, who is specialized in the production of wheels, castors and wheel tread materials, started conversion measures at its production facility “Plant 2” in January 2019 in order to be able to meet a steadily increasing demand. Since the beginning of 2021 construction works have been completed, which included a ground space expansion of 3,700 square meters. Additional measures included the expansion of already existing capacities with the installation of an automated casting line for the high-performance elastomer Vulkollan®.
"Not only do our customers place the highest standards on the quality of our products, but additional demand in certain segments is also steadily increasing. The expansion and modernisation of our main facility – one of the largest investments made in our company's history - was therefore a major and important step for the satisfaction of our customers. And besides that, it is also a clear commitment to wheels and castors ‘Made in Germany’ and to our location. We are now optimally positioned for the future," says Carsten Henning, Managing Director of Raeder-Vogel. (eap)
