Germany: Ravensburger Spieleland Expands Holiday Village
Located near Lake Constance, the popular Ravensburger Spieleland family park, which opened its own holiday village in 2016 for overnight guests (cf. EAP news from July 5th, 2016), expands its existing accommodation offer by adding ten new explorers’ tents this year (read also our article on the park’s 20th anniversary in EAP, 4/18). In this way, the capacity of the holiday village with a total of 26 tents, 50 holiday homes and 40 caravan spaces rises up to 396 beds.
The ten new explorers’ tents feature six beds each, in addition to electric light, electricity and heating. In the evening, families can make use of the free lending of books and Ravensburger board games located at the “Rauch Fruchtsäfte Bar & Lounge” in the holiday village. For campsite guests, the family park has planted new hedges during the last winter break, creating an additional sense of well-being. Furthermore, a new disposal station for grey water was set up.
“With these changes we want to offer our campsite visitors an even higher comfort. Already in 2017, we could more than double the occupancy rate of our holiday village. This shows us that there is a clear potential of overnight guests,” commented Carlo Horn, Managing Director of Ravensburger Spieleland. Today, the holiday village will start into its third season.
