Germany: Ravensburger Spieleland Officially Inaugurates Its New Vacation Village

The German Ravensburger Spieleland family theme park located at Lake Constance opened its new vacation village on July 1st this year to offer visitors the possibility of overnight-stays transforming their park stay into short holidays (c.f. “Park Report” in EAP issue 2/2016).

A total of 50 houses with sleeping accommodations for up to six persons forms the center of the five-hectare vacation village. The external façades design features the three thematic areas “Mouse & Elephant”, “Captain Bluebeard” and “Ravensburger Spielewelt” (Eng.: “Ravensburger Play World”). Inside the houses guests will also encounter some well-known Ravensburger favorites like “Lotti Karotti” or “Das verrückte Labyrinth” (Eng.: “The Crazy Labyrinth”). Additionally, the park’s new accommodation offer includes 40 pitches for motor homes as well as six “researcher tents” that are equipped with comfortable beds, light, electricity and heating. To create the perfect “outdoor feeling” younger campers are provided with a researchers’ kit of the Ravensburger non-fiction series “Wieso? Weshalb? Warum?” (Eng.: “Why? Why? Why?”) to discover the natural phenomena in their surroundings. A vacation village restaurant and the Rauch Fruchtsäfte Bar & Lounge complete the offer for overnight guests.

In the evening, the park comes up with a varied program including researchers and chocolate workshops as well as movies at the “Maus Kino” cinema. With the vacation village, Ravensburger Spieleland created an ideal family offer, which will be opened until September 11th this season. (eap)
