Germany: Serengeti-Park Opens New Lodges for Overnight-Guests
Today, the German Serengeti-Park located in Hodenhagen (Lower Saxony) opens three new lodge types for overnight-guests, which include adventure, ranger and tent lodges.
The mobile ranger lodges offer a real camping experience in heatable pickup trucks, which are equipped as truck-campers including sanitary facilities. The pitches are located in the park’s “Southern Africa” area, where guests are surrounded by the wild animals. Furthermore, modern tent lodges respond to the current “Glamping” trend, which combines outdoor feeling with luxury furnishings. The tent lodges, which can host either up to five or up to seven persons, also feature a large terrace each. The park opens ten lodges of this type close to its “Victoria Lake”, where about 200 apes will wake up overnight-guests in due time for breakfast. For those who would like to combine their stay with an educational “Africa trip”, the adventure lodges are the right alternative. Each of the 20 houses, which sleep up to three persons, is named after a famous explorer and tells his or her story in the inside.
Serengeti-Park adds these three exciting lodge types to its accommodation offer, which until to date has included safari lodges, “Masai-Mara” lodges and campers. (eap)
